Safer sleep with wearable blanket. How to keep your baby warm and cozy all night

How to keep your baby warm and safe with a wearable blanket

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), loose blankets increase of the risk of suffocation or sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Safe alternatives to blankets are sleeping sacks or wearable blankets.

A baby wearable sleeping bag is very convenient, and many parents report improved sleep once they started using it.

Babies feel comfortable wearing sleeping sack, not bothered by undone sheets and blankets. Being too hot or too cold is a top reason for young babies to wake in the night, or early in the morning.

The right temperature is also crucial in preventing SIDS. A well-fitting baby wearable blanket ensures the right temperature, a cozy feeling and safety all night long.

When taking baby out of the crib for night feedings or diaper changes, no need to undo the sleeping bag. Most wearable blankets have a zipper for easy diaper change. Baby stays in the sleeping sack, warm and cozy.

Wearable blanket is slipped over your baby's regular sleepwear as a replacement to regular blanket. Child can wear a bodysuit or a cotton coverall on underneath the wearable blanket depending on the room temperature. Don't use a warm winter wearable blanket in summer: overheating is very dangerous!

Always use a right size sleeping bag for your child. The purpose of the wearable blanket is to keep your baby from having any excess material that may bunch up around the baby’s face. If a wearable blanket is too large, there is a potential for the baby's head to slip through the neck hole or for excess material to bunch up around face.

Our favorite wearable blankets are made of natural materials, such as organic merino wool and organic cotton. Merino wool is a natural fiber, so it’s super breathable, absorbs moisture, and is naturally fire resistant. For the production of natural textiles we are careful to use European manufacturers who follow highest ecological standards. Perfect for sensitive skin - absolutely no harmful chemicals, no pesticides, insecticides, or fire retardants.
