Before you order — check the fit and the trade-offs
This style uses the older size range (Youth / Regular / Extended) and fits smaller at the top end than the 2.0 version. It also has two rows of snaps on the hip tabs rather than three, and less side coverage. For most buyers this is a pricing opportunity; for larger hip measurements or anyone planning to layer a Fitted Diaper underneath for overnight, the 2.0 is the better fit. What it is
The original EcoAble adult diaper cover
This is the first-generation EcoAble adult waterproof diaper cover — a double-layer PUL shell that goes over an absorbent layer of your choice. It wraps around a snap-in insert, prefold booster, fitted diaper, or even a disposable, and holds everything in place with adjustable hip tabs and rise snaps.
The cover has no absorbent fabric on the inside, so it can be wiped clean and reused up to 3–4 times between washes if not soiled. That wipe-and-reuse design is the same feature that carries over to the 2.0 version.

What the 2.0 redesign changed

How to use it
Shell plus absorbent layer
Adjust the snaps for fit, lay or snap an absorbent layer inside, and fasten the hip tabs. The cover accepts reusable snap-in inserts, prefold booster pads, fitted diapers, and disposable pads. If not soiled between uses, wipe the inside with a damp cloth, air it out, and reuse up to 3–4 times before laundering.
Sizing
Sized by hip circumference — not waist
Measure around your hips just below the tip of the hip bone — not around the widest part of your buttocks, and not at your waist. Hip measurement is usually larger than pants waist but smaller than buttock circumference.

If you're between sizes, size up for comfort and a better leak seal at the legs. If your hip measurement is above 50 inches, this style won't fit well — the current Diaper Cover 2.0 fits up to 55 inches.

Should you buy this or the 2.0?
The original style works well if...
Your hip measurement falls cleanly within one of the old size ranges (Youth 22–35, Regular 26–42, Extended 30–50), you don't plan to layer a Fitted Diaper underneath for overnight, and you want the final-sale pricing. The waterproof construction, wipe-and-reuse design, and compatibility with any absorbent layer are the same as the 2.0.
Choose the Diaper Cover 2.0 instead if...
Your hip measurement is above 50 inches (this style won't fit); you plan to use it overnight with a Fitted Diaper underneath (the 2.0 is designed to layer, the original sometimes fits too tight over a fitted); or you want more hip-tab adjustability (3 rows of snaps instead of 2) and the expanded side coverage of the 2.0 design.

Knock solids into the toilet and store in a dry pail between uses. Machine wash with detergent. Avoid bleach, boiling, and fabric softeners — softeners coat PUL and reduce its waterproof performance over time. Tumble dry on low or medium heat (maximum 90°F), or air dry. Use a liner if applying rash creams.

Is this product still being sold?
Yes — at a reduced price while stock lasts. This is the original version of our adult diaper cover, before the 2.0 redesign. When current stock runs out, it won't be restocked.
Why should I consider this over the Diaper Cover 2.0?
Price. The functionality is largely the same — same wipe-and-reuse design, same compatibility with any absorbent layer, same double-layer PUL construction, same snap closure system. If your hip measurement falls within this style's range and you don't need the expanded sizing or layering capability of the 2.0, the reduced price makes it a practical choice.
What's actually different between this and the 2.0?
Three things: the 2.0 has a larger hip range (26–55 in vs. 22–50 in here); it has three rows of snaps on the hip tabs instead of two (more adjustment); and it's designed to layer cleanly over a Fitted Diaper for overnight use, which this style sometimes fits too tight to accommodate. The waterproof construction is the same on both — double-layer PUL.
Will accessories from the old cover work with the new one if I upgrade later?
Yes. Snap-in inserts, prefold booster pads, and fitted diapers are compatible across both generations. The snap systems match.
Can I return this if it doesn't fit?
