Where are EcoAble cloth diapers made?
EcoAble cloth diapers are designed in the USA and responsibly manufactured in China. You can read about the production process in our blog post: Behind the Scenes of EcoAble Cloth Diaper Production.
Where are your wool, silk, and organic cotton products made?
Most of our apparel is made in Europe — primarily Germany and Switzerland. Some organic cotton pieces are designed in Europe and manufactured in India. We carry brands known for high-quality, sustainable materials: Engel, Disana, Reiff, Alkena, Little Green Radicals, Hirsch Natur, and Sense Organics.
Do you sell pre-loved cloth diapers?
We rarely list used cloth diapers on the website, but may occasionally have some on hand. Email support@ecoable.net for current availability.
Do you offer wholesale accounts?
We don't currently offer wholesale accounts. We do offer competitive pricing and regular promotions for all customers — if you're thinking about a larger purchase, contact us and we can discuss what's possible.
Ordering & shipping
Ordering & shipping
Where do you ship from?
All orders ship from our warehouse in Las Vegas, Nevada.
How soon will you ship my order?
We process all orders the same or next business day.
Where can I find information about special offers?
EcoAble promotions are sent by email to newsletter subscribers. Subscribe to the newsletter and you'll receive the current offer right away.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel within 30 minutes of placing an order. After that, order processing has already started and cancellations can't be guaranteed — though we'll try to accommodate requests where we can. The order status may not yet show "shipped" but the fulfillment process begins immediately.
International
International orders
Do you ship outside the USA?
Yes, we ship internationally. Additional shipping fees apply for international orders, and orders shipped outside the USA may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees set by the destination country.
Do I have to pay taxes and duties on international orders?
The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with the destination country's laws and regulations. International shipments may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country — these charges are the recipient's responsibility. EcoAble has no control over these fees and can't predict what they'll be. Customs policies vary significantly, so we recommend contacting your local customs office for specifics before ordering. Customs clearance can also cause delivery delays beyond our original estimates.
Why is shipping to my country so expensive?
International shipping from the USA costs are driven by distance, package weight, customs fees, and taxes — all set by shipping carriers and destination countries, not by us. We offer the most economical option available, but we can't adjust carrier-set rates.
Returns & warranty
Returns, cancellations & warranty
What's your returns policy?
New, unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. For the full policy — including which items can't be returned and how to start a return — see our return policy.
Do you provide a product warranty?
Yes. Warranty terms vary by product — cloth diapers are typically covered against manufacturing defects for a set period from date of purchase. See our full warranty policy for specifics on each product category and how to make a claim.
What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship — things like stitching failures, broken snaps, or PUL delamination in the first few weeks of use. Normal wear, damage from improper washing (bleach, hot water, fabric softener), and issues caused by heat exposure aren't covered. See the full warranty policy for details.
Payment
Payment & FSA/HSA
Can I use my FSA or HSA to purchase your products?
Many customers have successfully used FSA cards at checkout, and some have been reimbursed through HSA. We don't guarantee eligibility, though — it depends on your specific plan and coverage. Check with your FSA or HSA provider before ordering to confirm whether our products qualify. For incontinence products, a letter of medical necessity from your doctor can sometimes help with coverage.
Discretion
Privacy & discreet shipping
Is shipping and packaging discreet?
Yes. All orders ship in unmarked packaging — no visible branding, no product descriptions on the outside, nothing that identifies the contents. This matters most for adult cloth diaper orders, but it applies to every EcoAble shipment regardless of what's inside.
Care
Cloth diaper care
How do I properly wash EcoAble cloth diapers?
The 4-step routine is covered in our how to wash cloth diapers guide — cycle settings for HE and standard machines, water temperature, and drum loading. For the full set of care guides including prep, stripping, and sanitizing, see the care & troubleshooting hub.
My cloth diapers leak or smell. What's wrong?
Almost always a wash routine or buildup issue, not a product defect. See why cloth diapers leak to diagnose leaks (9 common causes covered), and why cloth diapers stink for ammonia and barnyard smells. Both guides include a 4-step fix.
Do new cloth diapers need to be washed before use?
Yes. Natural fibers (bamboo, hemp, cotton) contain residual oils that repel water until washed out. New diapers need 3–5 wash-and-dry cycles to reach full absorbency, though they're safe and usable after one wash. See our prepping guide for the full process.
Which detergent should I use?
We maintain a tested list of 28 cloth diaper safe detergents — both synthetic and plant-based options. The list also covers detergents to avoid (fabric softeners, optical brighteners, pods) and why.
Choosing products
Choosing the right products
How do I pick the right adult cloth diaper?
Our adult cloth diapers guide covers diaper types, absorbency planning by output level, fit considerations, and which products work for which situations. It's the best starting point if you're new to adult cloth diapers.
How do I pick the right cloth diaper for my baby?
Our baby cloth diaper guide walks through daytime and nighttime systems, covers vs fitteds, stash sizing, and what you need at each stage from newborn to 5 years.
What about cloth diapers for older kids with incontinence or special needs?
Our big kid cloth diapers guide covers ages 6–16. Pull-on protective briefs, overnight sets, fit, and how to transition from disposables. Written for parents and for teens reading the guide themselves.
How many cloth diapers do I need?
For full-time use with laundry every 2–3 days: newborns need 24–30, infants 18–24, toddlers 12–18, and adults typically 15–18 for daytime plus 3–4 overnight sets. Each age-specific guide above has a stash-sizing table with more detail.
How long do cloth diapers last?
With proper care, 2–3 years of daily use for shells and covers. Natural-fiber inserts (hemp, bamboo, cotton) often last longer — into a second child for many families. Heavy daily use wears the same diaper faster than rotating through a larger stash.
