High-absorbency inner layer · requires waterproof shell
EcoAble Adult Fitted Cloth Diaper — High-Capacity Absorbent Layer for Overnight Protection
A high-absorbency fitted diaper designed to go inside a waterproof shell for maximum overnight capacity. The highest-absorbency inner layer in the EcoAble system — built for heavy nighttime wetting and extended wear.
Who this is for
Upgrading the absorbent layer in a cloth diaper system you already have
The fitted diaper is the high-capacity absorbent garment that goes inside a waterproof shell. Buy it on its own when you already have a Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 shell and a snap-in insert, and you want to add the fitted diaper specifically — either to build a nighttime setup or to replace a worn fitted in your rotation.
This listing is the fitted diaper only. No insert and no shell are included. If you don't yet have a complete system, the Day & Night Set bundles the shell, insert, and fitted diaper together and is usually the better starting point.
The fitted diaper is not waterproof
This product must be worn inside a compatible waterproof shell to prevent leaks. The fitted diaper is the absorbent inner layer only — the Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 provides the waterproof outer barrier. Do not use without a waterproof shell.
How it fits into the system
The middle layer of a three-part nighttime setup
The fitted diaper is worn inside a waterproof shell. A snap-in insert can be added on top of the fitted diaper for even more capacity on heavy nights. The shell provides the waterproof barrier; the fitted diaper and insert handle absorption.
Outer layer
Waterproof shell
Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0. Sold separately.

Middle layer
Fitted Diaper
Worn inside the shell. High-capacity absorbent garment with its own hip tabs and leg gussets.
Inner booster
Snap-in Insert
Optional. Snaps inside the fitted diaper or shell for extra capacity. Sold separately.
Want even more capacity?
For very heavy overnight wetting, a prefold booster pad can be laid inside the fitted diaper under or over the snap-in insert. This is the highest-absorbency configuration in the EcoAble system. Prefold booster pads are sold separately.
Compatible shells
Use with Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover — not Pull-On
Recommended
Pocket Diaper 2.0
The fitted diaper goes inside the pocket diaper shell. The most common nighttime combination.
Recommended
Diaper Cover 2.0
The fitted diaper goes inside the diaper cover shell. Works the same way as with the pocket diaper.
Not recommended
Pull-On Diaper 2.0
The pull-on shell's design does not accommodate the fitted diaper correctly. Use the pocket diaper or diaper cover instead.
Key features
What makes the fitted diaper work overnight
High overnight capacity
Holds significantly more than a snap-in insert alone — designed for extended overnight wear and multiple voidings without leaking.
Stay-dry bamboo-rayon lining
The 100% bamboo-rayon inner lining wicks moisture away from skin, helping maintain a drier feel throughout the night even when wet.
Leg gussets for overnight security
Built-in leg gussets create a secondary barrier against leaks, particularly useful for side and stomach sleepers.
Adjustable hip tabs
Has its own adjustable hip tabs so you can dial in the fit independently from the shell — important for a proper leg seal during sleep.
Materials
What the fitted diaper is made from
Outer shell
70% Rayon from Bamboo / 30% Cotton. Soft, absorbent, and durable through repeated washing.
Inner lining
100% Rayon from Bamboo. Stay-dry surface that wicks moisture away from skin for extended comfort.
Sizing
Sized by hip circumference — not waist
Measure around the widest part of your hips, below the hip bone. Do not use your waist measurement.
| Size |
Hip circumference |
Rise (front to back) |
| Small |
24–38 in (61–97 cm) |
21–25 in (54–64 cm) |
| Medium |

26–30 in (67–77 cm) |
| Large |
30–51 in (76–130 cm) |

If you're between sizes, size up for comfort and a better leak seal at the legs. Order the same size fitted diaper as your waterproof shell for the best layered fit.
Honest assessment
Is the fitted diaper alone the right purchase?
Buy the fitted diaper on its own if...
You already own a Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 shell, you have snap-in inserts that work for you, and you specifically want to add or replace the fitted diaper component — whether to build out a nighttime setup or expand your rotation.
Buy the Day & Night Set instead if...
You don't yet own a shell or insert. The Day & Night Set bundles the Pocket Diaper 2.0 shell, snap-in insert, and fitted diaper at a better combined price than buying each piece separately. The fitted diaper on its own is meant for people who already have the rest of the system.
On heavy overnight needs
The fitted diaper is the highest-absorbency inner garment in the EcoAble system, but some users with very heavy overnight wetting want additional capacity. A prefold booster pad laid inside the fitted diaper adds another significant layer for heavy wetters. Booster pads are sold separately.
Care
Washing the fitted diaper
Machine washable Cold or warm rinse first No fabric softeners Air dry or tumble low
Cold or warm rinse cycle first, then a full wash with detergent. Avoid fabric softeners — they coat bamboo and cotton fibers and reduce absorbency over time. The fitted diaper is thicker than an insert and takes longer to dry, so factor that into your rotation. Most users keep 3–5 fitted diapers in rotation so there's always a clean one ready each night. Air drying is gentlest on the fabric; tumble dry on low is fine for regular use.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Is a snap-in insert or shell included?
No. This listing is the fitted diaper only. You'll need a Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 shell (sold separately) for the waterproof outer layer, and optionally a snap-in insert or prefold booster pad for added capacity on heavy nights.
Can I use the fitted diaper without a waterproof shell?
No — the fitted diaper is absorbent but not waterproof. Without a shell over it, moisture will pass through to clothing or bedding. Always wear it inside a Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 shell.
Why isn't the Pull-On Diaper compatible?
The pull-on shell's design doesn't accommodate the fitted diaper correctly inside it. Use the Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 instead — both are tab-fastening shells that fit the fitted diaper properly.
How do I assemble the full nighttime setup?
Put on the fitted diaper first and fasten the hip tabs for a snug fit. Then put the waterproof shell on over the top and fasten it. If you're using a snap-in insert for extra capacity, it can go inside the fitted diaper or inside the shell on top — either position works.
What size fitted diaper should I order?
Order the same size fitted diaper as your waterproof shell. This keeps the two layers aligned for the cleanest fit. If you're between sizes, size up for comfort and a better leak seal at the legs.
How many fitted diapers do I need?
Most users keep 3–5 fitted diapers in rotation for nightly use — enough to wear, wash, and dry without running short. Because the fitted diaper is thicker than an insert, it takes a bit longer to dry, so a slightly larger rotation helps.
Is shipping discreet?
Yes. All EcoAble orders ship in plain, unmarked packaging with no indication of the contents on the outside.
