The fitted brief on its own absorbs well, but is not waterproof. It is designed to be worn inside the pull-on shell, not as a standalone garment.
How it works
Layering for overnight protection
Snap the insert inside the fitted diaper (preferred by most families) or inside the pull-on shell — either works. Snapping it into the fitted diaper keeps everything together at change time and positions the insert closest to your child's body.
Your child puts on the fitted diaper. The front snap tabs allow you to adjust the fit at the waist for a secure, comfortable hold.
Pull the EcoAble Big Kids Pull-On Diaper on over the top. The pull-on provides the waterproof containment layer over the fitted diaper and insert beneath.
Remove the pull-on, then the fitted diaper. Unsnap the insert and launder everything together in the same wash cycle.

If your child falls between sizes, size up for comfort and a better leg seal.
Choose the same Junior size as your child's pull-on diaper. Big Kids Junior sizes (1/2/3) are separate from adult sizes and are not interchangeable with EcoAble adult products.

The fitted diaper alone handles moderate to heavy overnight wetting. Combined with the snap-in insert already in your pull-on shell, the two-layer setup provides high total capacity — well suited to full overnight voids for most children.
The fitted diaper absorbs but does not contain. It must be worn inside the EcoAble Big Kids Pull-On Diaper for overnight use. Without the waterproof outer layer, moisture will pass through to bedding.

Care instructions
Washing your fitted diaper
Dispose of solids in the toilet, then store in a dry pail until wash day. Rinse cold or warm first, then run a full wash cycle with detergent. Avoid fabric softeners — they coat the rayon and cotton fibers and reduce absorbency over time. The fitted diaper can be washed in the same load as your pull-on shell and other cloth diapering items. Air drying is recommended to extend the life of the material; tumble dry on low if needed.

Yes — that is exactly what this product is for. Put the fitted diaper on your child first, then pull the EcoAble Big Kids Pull-On Diaper on over the top with the snap-in insert inside it as usual. The fitted brief adds a substantial second layer of absorbency for nights when the insert alone is not enough.

Do I need the pull-on cover, or can the fitted diaper be worn on its own?
The fitted diaper needs to be worn inside a waterproof cover for overnight use. Without the pull-on shell, moisture will pass through to clothing and bedding. The fitted diaper handles absorption; the pull-on handles containment.

How do I choose the right size?
Size by hip circumference — measure around the widest part of your child's hips, below the tip of the hip bone. Junior 1 fits hips 16–27 in, Junior 2 fits 18–30 in, Junior 3 fits 22–35 in. Do not size by age or clothing size. If your child is between sizes, choose the larger size. Choose the same Junior size as your pull-on diaper so the two fit together correctly.

Can the snap-in insert from the pull-on also snap into the fitted diaper?
Yes — and most families prefer it that way. Snapping the insert into the fitted diaper positions it closest to your child's body for faster absorption, and keeps the insert and fitted together as one unit at change time. If you prefer, the insert can also snap into the pull-on shell instead — both setups work well, so use whichever your family finds easier.
