Pull-up style · maximum protection · moderate to heavy daytime
EcoAble Pull-On Diaper 2.0 — Maximum Protection Kit for Moderate to Heavy Daytime Incontinence
A complete 3-piece reusable adult pull-up diaper system — pull-on shell, snap-in insert, and bamboo-cotton prefold booster — built for adults who need higher absorbency during the day but still want the convenience of a pull-up style diaper. Fits hip measurements from 34 to 60 inches.
Built for
Higher-absorbency protection with pull-up convenience
When reliable daytime protection is the priority and you want the pull-up style of reusable underwear, this kit adds a bamboo-cotton prefold booster to the standard Pull-On shell and snap-in insert. The booster stuffs into the pocket opening underneath the insert and adds meaningful capacity for heavier daytime leaks, longer stretches between changes, or situations where a leak would be especially disruptive.
This is the same EcoAble Pull-On Diaper 2.0 shell we sell with just an insert — pull-up style with hidden side snaps for cleaner changes, wide front and back elastic for a secure fit, bamboo-rayon lining against your skin, and a built-in wet-zone booster. The difference is what goes inside the pocket: we chose a bamboo-cotton prefold booster stacked underneath the snap-in insert for two reasons. First, it adds significant absorbency without adding the bulk that a second snap-in insert would, so with proper clothing the kit stays reasonably discreet. Second, bamboo-cotton handles compression leaks better than microfiber alone — under pressure from sitting or a snug waistband, microfiber inserts can release some of what they've absorbed, and the bamboo-cotton booster underneath catches that before it reaches the shell.
A note on sizing vs. our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover
The Pull-On starts at a larger minimum hip measurement (34 inches) and extends to a larger maximum (60 inches) than our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover (which run 26–55 inches). If your hip measurement is under 34 inches, the Pull-On won't fit well — consider the Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover Maximum Protection Kit instead. If your hip measurement is above 55 inches, the Pull-On is the right choice — it's the only reusable adult cloth diaper we make that fits up to 60 inches.
How this differs from our Pocket and Cover Maximum Protection Kits
All three Maximum Protection Kits combine a shell, a snap-in insert, and a bamboo-cotton prefold booster. The difference is the shell. The Pocket Diaper uses hip-tab closures (more adjustable fit, overnight-capable with a fitted diaper). The Diaper Cover uses hip-tab closures with a double-layer PUL and can be wiped and reused between washes. The Pull-On goes on and off like underwear with hidden unsnap-at-the-sides as a secondary option, and fits larger hip sizes — but it's daytime only. Pocket for cushion and flexibility; Cover for durability and reduced laundry; Pull-On for pull-up convenience and the widest fit range.
What's included
A complete 3-piece system — ready to use out of the box
Shell
Pull-On Diaper 2.0
Waterproof Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) outer with soft bamboo-rayon inner lining. Pull-up style with wide front and back elastic. Hidden hip-tab snaps under the front panel release when you need to unsnap for a clean change. Thin built-in booster sewn into the wet zone. Pocket opening at the back holds the absorbency in place.
Insert
Snap-In Insert
Bamboo-rayon outer, microfiber core. Snaps inside the shell to stay in place. Adds moderate absorbency on its own.
Booster
Prefold Booster Pad
70% bamboo-rayon / 30% cotton. Stuffs into the pocket underneath the snap-in insert for extra capacity and compression-leak protection. The piece that makes this a heavy-protection setup.
How absorbency works
Three layers, one system — use what you need
This kit is designed to be used at full capacity, but the layered design means you can scale back when you don't need the maximum setup. Having all three pieces gives you flexibility across different times of day and activity levels.
Shell only
Very light protection. The built-in wet-zone booster catches small dribbles. Not enough for regular incontinence — included here for reference.
Shell + snap-in insert
Light to moderate protection. Standard daytime setup for everyday wear.
Shell + insert + prefold booster This kit
Maximum daytime protection. Full three-layer setup for moderate to heavy daytime incontinence, longer stretches between changes, or situations where a leak would be especially disruptive.
We don't recommend pairing the Pull-On with a fitted diaper — the pull-up fit and shorter rise aren't designed to accommodate a full fitted layer underneath. For overnight use, look at our Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 Day & Night sets instead.
Key features
What makes this system work
Pull-up style with hidden side snaps
Goes on and off like underwear for everyday urinary use. Hidden snaps under the front panel release when you need to remove the diaper cleanly — particularly useful with this higher-absorbency setup if you have an occasional bowel accident and don't want to pull a soiled diaper down.
Layered absorbency
Three components stack inside the pocket — prefold booster at the bottom, snap-in insert on top. The microfiber core of the insert pulls liquid in quickly, the bamboo-cotton booster holds it and catches any compression leaks that microfiber can release under pressure, and the waterproof shell seals everything in.
Bamboo-rayon inner lining
The layer that sits against your skin is 100% rayon from bamboo — soft, moisture-wicking, and gentle during extended daytime wear. Especially important with a higher-absorbency kit where you may wear it longer between changes.
Wide elastic front and back
Wide elastic panels at the front and back waistband keep the diaper securely in place like underwear — important with this kit because the added absorbency adds weight that needs a secure fit to stay positioned. Our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover have elastic only in the back.
Adjustable fit
The hidden side snaps under the front panel let you fine-tune the hip fit even though this is a pull-up style diaper. A good leg seal is especially important at higher absorbency levels — if the fit is loose, leaks will find the gap.
Extended fit range up to 60 inches
Fits hip measurements from 34 to 60 inches — a wider range at the upper end than our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover, both of which max out at 55 inches. If you've had trouble finding reusable adult cloth diapers with heavy-absorbency capability in larger sizes, this kit was built for that gap.

Sizing
Sized by hip circumference — not waist
Measure around the widest part of your hips, below the hip bones. Do not use your waist measurement — fit depends on hip circumference. The included insert is sized to match your shell automatically.
| Size |
Hip circumference |
Rise (front to back) |
Matching insert length |
| Small |
34–46 in (87–117 cm) |

If you're between sizes, size up for comfort and a better leak seal at the legs — a good leg seal is especially important with the added absorbency in this kit.
Honest assessment
Is this the right setup for you?
This kit works well if...
You have moderate to heavy daytime incontinence, you want to extend the time between changes, and you want the pull-up convenience of reusable underwear with the option to unsnap for cleaner changes. If your hip measurement is above 55 inches, this is the only Maximum Protection Kit we make in your size range.
The trade-off to know upfront
Three layers of absorbency means some added thickness compared to the insert-only kit — though we chose a bamboo-cotton prefold booster rather than a second snap-in insert specifically because it adds absorbency without the bulk a second insert would. The kit fits well under looser clothing like relaxed trousers and longer tops. Fitted jeans or tight athletic wear may show some outline. If a truly slim daytime profile is your top priority, the insert-only Pull-On kit is the better starting point.
You may want the Pocket or Cover Maximum Protection Kit instead if...
You prefer hip-tab closures with more adjustability, or your hip measurement is under 34 inches (the Pull-On won't fit), or you want the option to use the same shell for overnight with a fitted diaper (the Pull-On is daytime only). The Pocket Diaper gives you cushion and flexibility; the Diaper Cover gives you a more durable double-layer PUL and a cover that can be wiped and reused.
You may want something different if...
You need overnight protection — the Pull-On isn't designed for it. For overnight needs, look at our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover Day & Night sets, which pair the shell with a fitted diaper for higher overnight capacity.
New to cloth diapers?
This system has a short learning curve. The snap-in insert and stuffed-in booster are straightforward to assemble in the pocket opening, and the pull-up style means no fasteners to align every time. Most customers find their preferred setup within a week.
Care
Washing all three components
Machine washable Cold or warm rinse first No fabric softeners Air dry or tumble low
Wash after each use. The shell, insert, and booster can all be washed and dried together. Run a cold or warm rinse cycle first, then a full wash with detergent. Avoid fabric softeners — they coat bamboo and microfiber fibers and reduce absorbency over time. All three components can be tumble dried on low, though air drying the shell extends the life of the waterproof layer.
Store used pieces in a wet bag until wash day. Most customers keep 3–5 complete kits in rotation so there's always a clean set ready. Because the Pull-On's fabric lining sits against skin, the shell needs a full wash after each use (unlike the Diaper Cover, which can be wiped and reused between uses).
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
What's included?
One Pull-On Diaper 2.0 shell, one matching snap-in insert, and one bamboo-cotton prefold booster pad. All three pieces are included — nothing sold separately for the core setup.
How does the pull-up motion work with three layers inside?
Same as with the insert-only kit. The booster stuffs into the pocket first, the snap-in insert snaps on top, and then you pull the diaper up and down like underwear. Because everything is contained inside the pocket opening, the absorbent layers stay in place during pull-up motion. For changes where you don't want to pull the diaper down (like after a bowel accident), the hidden side snaps release and the diaper opens out to the sides.
How does this differ from the insert-only Pull-On kit?
The shell and snap-in insert are the same. This kit adds the bamboo-cotton prefold booster pad, which stuffs into the pocket underneath the insert for significantly more absorbency. Same foundation, built for heavier needs.
How does this differ from the Pocket or Cover Maximum Protection Kits?
Same three components (shell + insert + bamboo-cotton prefold booster) in all three kits. The shell is what differs. The Pocket Diaper uses hip-tab closures for a fully adjustable fit and accommodates fitted diapers for overnight. The Diaper Cover uses hip-tab closures with a double-layer PUL and can be wiped and reused between washes. The Pull-On pulls on and off like underwear with hidden side snaps for cleaner changes, and fits hips up to 60 inches. Pocket for cushion and overnight flexibility; Cover for durability and less laundry; Pull-On for pull-up convenience and the widest fit range.
Is this bulky under clothing?
Less than you might expect for a three-layer setup. We chose a bamboo-cotton prefold booster rather than a second snap-in insert because it adds significant absorbency without the bulk that two inserts would create. You'll notice a fuller fit than the insert-only version, and fitted jeans or tight athletic wear may show some outline, but under looser trousers or longer tops it stays reasonably discreet.
Can I use just the insert without the booster?
Yes. You don't have to use all three layers every time. Many customers use the full setup during the day and scale back to just the insert for lower-demand periods or lighter activities. Having all three pieces gives you flexibility.
How do I prevent leaks?
Fit is the most important factor, especially with a higher-absorbency setup. Make sure the leg openings sit snugly without digging in, and that the booster and insert are fully tucked inside the shell's pocket opening — no fabric poking out past the leg elastics will wick moisture out. If the diaper sags or shifts during wear, try sizing down for a better leg seal.
Can I use this overnight?
We don't recommend it. Even with the added absorbency from the prefold booster, the Pull-On has a shorter rise than our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover and isn't designed to accommodate a fitted diaper underneath for the high-capacity overnight setup most heavy nighttime wetters need. For overnight protection, look at our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover Day & Night sets.
My hip measurement is under 34 inches — can I still wear this?
The Pull-On small starts at 34 inches because the pull-up structure with wide front and back elastic needs a minimum hip size to hold its shape. Below 34 inches, the fit becomes loose and leaks at the legs. If your hip measurement is under 34 inches, the Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover Maximum Protection Kits (both 26–55 inches) will fit you better.
How many kits do I need?
Most customers find 3–5 complete kits comfortable for daily rotation. Start with 2–3 to find your preferred fit and setup, then expand once you know what works.
Can I use the insert and booster with other EcoAble shells?
Yes. The snap-in insert and prefold booster in this kit are also compatible with our Pocket Diaper 2.0 and Diaper Cover 2.0 shells if you expand your system later. All three shell types use the same snap system for inserts, and the prefold booster lays in flat regardless of shell.
Is shipping discreet?
Yes. All EcoAble orders ship in plain, unmarked packaging with no indication of the contents on the outside.
