EcoAble Pull-On Diaper 2.0 — Reusable Adult Pull-Up Diaper Shell
A pull-up style reusable adult diaper shell that goes on and off like underwear — with hidden side snaps you can release when you need to change without pulling down. Soft bamboo-rayon lining, thin built-in wet-zone booster, and a fit range that covers larger hip measurements than our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover. Shell only — no add-on insert included.
Pull-up convenience with the option to unsnap when you need it

The Pull-On Diaper 2.0 is the pull-up style shell in our adult cloth diaper line. It pulls up and down like underwear for everyday use — no tabs to fasten, no hooks to align — but it also has hidden side snaps underneath the front panel that release when you need to change without pulling the diaper down. That matters most for occasional bowel incontinence: pull up and down like underwear for routine urinary use, unsnap from the sides when you need to remove the diaper cleanly.

Like our Pocket Diaper 2.0 shell, this one has a soft bamboo-rayon inner lining against your skin and a thin built-in booster sewn into the wet zone — so it handles small dribbles on its own. For regular daytime incontinence, pair it with a snap-in insert. For heavier daytime needs, add a prefold booster underneath. This shell is designed for daytime use only; we don't recommend it with fitted diapers.

A note on sizing vs. our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover
The Pull-On starts at a larger minimum hip measurement (34 inches) and extends to a larger maximum (60 inches) than our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover (which run 26–55 inches). If your hip measurement is under 34 inches, the Pull-On won't fit well — consider the Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover instead. If your hip measurement is above 55 inches, the Pull-On is the right choice in our adult cloth diaper line — it's the only shell we make that fits up to 60 inches.

Absorbency is added separately — match it to your needs

This is the shell on its own — the pull-up outer layer with a pocket opening at the back for an absorbent layer. You choose the absorbency based on how much protection you need during the day. Snap-in inserts, prefold booster pads, and other absorbent layers slide in through the pocket opening.

Shell aloneThis product
Very light protection. Waterproof PUL outer plus a thin built-in booster in the wet zone — catches small leaks and dribbles. Not designed to contain a full void; add absorbency for regular incontinence.
Shell + snap-in insert
Light to moderate daytime protection. The snap-in insert adds meaningful absorbency for regular daytime wear. The most common pairing for this shell.
Shell + insert + prefold booster
Moderate to heavy daytime protection. Adds the prefold booster pad underneath the insert for longer stretches between changes or heavier voids.

Snap-in inserts and prefold booster pads are sold separately. We don't recommend pairing this shell with a fitted diaper — the pull-up fit and shorter rise aren't designed to accommodate a full fitted layer underneath. For overnight use with a fitted diaper, look at our Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 shells.

What makes this pull-on different

Pull-up style with hidden side snaps
Goes on and off like underwear for everyday urinary use. Hidden snaps under the front panel release when you need to remove the diaper cleanly without pulling it down — important for occasional bowel incontinence or for assistive changes.

Wide elastic front and back
Wide elastic panels at the front and back waistband keep the diaper in place like underwear, without feeling tight or restrictive. Our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover have elastic only in the back — the front elastic is what makes the Pull-On hold its shape when pulled up.

Bamboo-rayon inner lining
The layer that sits against your skin is 100% rayon from bamboo — soft, moisture-wicking, and gentle during extended daytime wear.

Built-in wet-zone booster
A thin absorbent booster sewn into the wet zone handles small leaks and dribbles on its own — the same feature built into our Pocket Diaper but absent from most other pull-on cloth diapers on the market.

Pocket opening for absorbent layer
A pocket opening at the back of the shell holds a snap-in insert or stuffed absorbent layer in place. A distinguishing feature — most pull-on cloth diapers on the market don't have a pocket opening at all, so the insert just lays loose inside.

Extended fit range up to 60 inches
Fits hip measurements from 34 to 60 inches — a wider range at the upper end than our Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover, both of which max out at 55 inches. If you've had trouble finding reusable adult cloth diapers in larger sizes, this is the right place to start.

What the shell is made of
Outer layer
100% Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) — the waterproof barrier. Reinforced at the front snap area for durability through repeated pull-up motion.
Inner lining
100% Rayon from Bamboo — the layer that sits next to your skin. Soft, moisture-wicking, and naturally odor-reducing.
Built-in wet-zone booster
A thin bamboo-rayon booster sewn into the front wet zone. Catches small leaks so the shell isn't purely waterproof — it has a small amount of absorbency built in.

Sized by hip circumference — not waist

Measure around the widest part of your hips, below the hip bone. Do not use your waist measurement — fit depends on hip circumference.

Size Hip circumference Rise (front to back)
Small 34–46 in (87–117 cm) 21–26 in (53–66 cm)
Medium 36–52 in (92–132 cm) 26–32 in (66–81 cm)
Large 45–60 in (115–152 cm) 32–35 in (81–90 cm)

If you're between sizes, size up for comfort and a better leak seal at the legs. The Pull-On has a shorter rise than our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover — which is part of what gives it a lower-profile pull-up fit, but also means it's designed for daytime use rather than overnight.

Is this the right product for you?
This is right for you if...
You want the convenience of pull-up style reusable underwear with the option to unsnap for easier changes; your hip measurement is between 34 and 60 inches; you need daytime incontinence protection; and you already own absorbency (snap-in inserts or prefold boosters) or are building a system. If your hip measurement is above 55 inches, this is the only adult cloth diaper shell we make that will fit you.
You probably want a kit instead if...
This is your first reusable adult diaper and you don't yet own absorbency. The shell alone won't hold up to regular daytime incontinence. The Pull-On Diaper 2.0 + Snap-In Insert kit gives you a working setup out of the box at a better price than buying the two pieces separately.
You may want the Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover instead if...
Your hip measurement is under 34 inches (the Pull-On won't fit); you need overnight protection with a fitted diaper (the Pull-On's shorter rise and pull-up fit aren't designed for fitted diapers — Pocket or Cover is better for overnight); or you want a cover that can be wiped and reused between washes (the Diaper Cover offers that, the Pull-On does not).
On fit and discretion
The pull-up style with wide front and back elastic creates a fit closer to underwear than traditional adult diapers. Paired with a thin insert, it stays reasonably discreet under looser trousers, longer tops, and A-line styles. Fitted jeans or tight athletic wear may show some outline, especially once absorbency is added. That's true of any absorbent undergarment.

Washing instructions
Machine washable Cold or warm rinse first No fabric softeners Air dry or tumble low

Cold or warm rinse cycle first, then a full wash with detergent. Avoid fabric softeners — they coat bamboo and microfiber fibers and reduce absorbency over time. Air drying is best for the PUL shell; inserts and absorbent layers can be tumble dried on low.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between this and the Pocket Diaper 2.0?
The absorbent system is similar — both have a bamboo-rayon lining, a pocket opening, and a thin built-in wet-zone booster. The difference is the form factor and the fit range. The Pull-On goes on and off like underwear with hidden side snaps as a secondary option; the Pocket Diaper has full hip-tab closures you fasten each time. The Pull-On also fits hip measurements up to 60 inches (the Pocket maxes out at 55). The Pull-On is daytime-only; the Pocket can be used overnight with a fitted diaper.
Can I really unsnap it if I need to?
Yes. The hip-tab closures are hidden under the front panel. You use the pull-up motion for routine changes (pulling up and down like underwear), and release the side snaps when you need to remove the diaper cleanly — typically for occasional bowel incontinence, or when someone is assisting with a change. This is a meaningful difference from pull-on style disposables, which tear at the sides, and from most reusable pull-on cloth diapers, which have no release option.
Why would I buy just the shell?
Three common reasons: you already own inserts or boosters and need a shell to go with them; you're expanding your rotation and want another shell to cycle through the wash; or you're replacing a worn-out shell. If none of these apply, a kit with absorbency included is usually the better starting point.
Can I use this overnight?
We don't recommend it. The Pull-On has a shorter rise than our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover, and it isn't designed to accommodate a fitted diaper underneath for the high-capacity overnight setup most heavy nighttime wetters need. For overnight protection, look at our Pocket Diaper 2.0 or Diaper Cover 2.0 Day & Night sets instead.
Why can't I use a fitted diaper with this?
Two reasons. First, the Pull-On's shorter rise doesn't fully cover a fitted diaper — you'd get leaks at the waist. Second, the pull-up motion isn't practical with a full fitted garment already in place underneath. Fitted diapers are designed to work with our Pocket Diaper and Diaper Cover shells, both of which have taller rise and full hip-tab closures.
My hip measurement is under 34 inches — can I still wear this?
The Pull-On small starts at 34 inches because the pull-up structure with wide front and back elastic needs a certain minimum hip size to hold its shape. Below 34 inches, the fit becomes loose and leaks at the legs. If your hip measurement is under 34 inches, the Pocket Diaper 2.0 (26–55 in) or Diaper Cover 2.0 (26–55 in) will fit you better.
Does this shell fit EcoAble's snap-in inserts?
Yes. The Pull-On Diaper 2.0 shell is designed to work with EcoAble adult snap-in inserts — match the insert size to the shell size (small insert for small shell, and so on).
Does this work for bowel incontinence?
For occasional bowel incontinence, yes — and the unsnap feature is specifically useful here, letting you remove the diaper without pulling it down through soiled clothing. For frequent or heavy bowel incontinence, the Pocket Diaper or Diaper Cover with a fitted diaper may be a better fit because of the higher capacity and taller rise.
Is shipping discreet?
Yes. All EcoAble orders ship in plain, unmarked packaging with no indication of the contents on the outside.
What's included in this listing?
One Pull-On Diaper 2.0 shell. No insert or absorbency accessory is included. Snap-in inserts and prefold booster pads are sold separately.

    Better than disposables

Published by JH on Dec 9th 2023

I use these for night-time incontinence. During the day I am able to use pads, but at night I need something with more protection to keep my bed dry. These work great and have the side protection I need, as I sleep on my side. The fabric is soft and comfortable and I don't have issues with the rashes that disposables gave me. It's nice you can add extra layers if needed, most of the time just this diaper alone works great, but the extra snap in pads are really nice for whenever I am having a bladder flare up.

Great product, take care on selecting size

    Published by M on Jun 8th 2022

Lovely, well constructed brief with high quality fabric. Breathes better than older PUL materials. Very soft and comfortable, no tags or scratchy seams. Thread is of good quality and care has been taken in finishing steps, nothing loose or left untrimmed. Binding on gussets is sturdy but not irritating or even noticeable when worn. Lining fabric is soft, washes beautifully and is very thin for the degree of absorbency. Fits slightly larger than I had measured (large size, my hip measurement was within 2" of the bottom of the range, female), if you tend to the lower end of this range, consider the next size down especially if you plan to use thin liners and are looking for a snug fit. The adjustable rise is a nice feature, but prevents the brief from fitting snugly, the snaps pull apart under light tension. The overall looser than expected fit also means the sewn-in liner gaps/sags slightly at the back, since it is not connected to the outer along the rear waistband. This doesn't affect performance and would not be noticeable if I were not toward the bottom of the size range. Snap in liners are nicely contoured and long enough to provide full coverage. Once a liner is installed, the brief tends to sag, even under its own weight and tights or compression shorts seem to be the best way to achieve a discrete fit. Relatively low cut waistband on my build that sits right at the point of my hip bones, works very well with regular-fit pants and skirts. The patterns on the fabric are very nice and the briefs look much nicer than disposables! No rustling noise at all, this is a great eco-friendly, discreet and effective alternative to disposable protection.
