Fitted Diaper + Booster Pad Set · Made by Disana · 100% Organic Cotton
The complete natural-fiber absorbent system, bundled together
Disana's tie-on organic cotton fitted diaper paired with its matching brushed cotton booster pad — the absorbency combination Disana designed them for. Matched pack sizes, natural fibers throughout, made in Germany.
Absorbent core only — still needs a waterproof cover
This set handles absorbency; a cover handles waterproofing. For leak-proof performance, pair with the
Disana Wool Diaper Cover for a fully natural-fiber setup, or the
EcoAble Heavy Duty PUL Cover for a simpler routine. Covers are sold separately.

Why Disana designed these to go together
The Disana tie-on fitted diaper is intentionally thin. That's not a compromise — it's a design choice that keeps the diaper trim, quick to wash, and easy to pack. Disana's answer to heavier wetting isn't a bulkier diaper; it's adding a brushed cotton booster pad inside. The two products were made to work together. This set gives you them together in matched quantities at a bundle discount.
What's included
Two pieces, both organic cotton
Every set includes matching quantities of each component — one fitted diaper paired with one booster pad per unit.
The diaper
Organic Cotton Tie Fitted Diaper
Stretchy knitted organic cotton · Fastens with ties · Truly one-size
A rectangle of stretchy knitted organic cotton that wraps around your baby and fastens with a cotton tie at the waist. No snaps, no elastic, no hook-and-loop — the stretchy knit hugs your baby's shape naturally. Fits from newborn through potty training by folding the top edge to adjust the rise.
For full details on this diaper on its own, see the Disana Tie Fitted Cloth Diaper.
The booster
Brushed Cotton Booster Pad
Soft brushed organic cotton · 15.5 × 15.5 inches · Prefolded into a strip
A square of soft brushed organic cotton that folds into a strip and sits inside the fitted diaper to add absorbency. Unfolded, it doubles as a burp cloth, spit-up rag, or prefold-style diaper for newborns. Soft against skin, quick-drying, and fully natural fiber.
For full details on the booster pad on its own, see the Disana Brushed Cotton Booster Pads.

Who it's for
When this set is the right choice
Parents building a fully natural-fiber system
Both components are 100% organic cotton — no synthetic elastic, no PUL, no hook-and-loop, no polyester thread. Paired with a wool cover, this is one of the only genuinely all-natural cloth diaper systems available.
Parents starting Disana cloth diapering from scratch
If you haven't bought either component yet, buying them together in a set is more practical than buying the fitted diapers and booster pads separately. Same quantity, one purchase, bundle pricing.
Overnight or heavy-wetting use
The fitted diaper on its own is designed for lighter wetting. Adding a booster pad inside is how Disana's system handles overnight and heavy daytime wetting. This set gives you the full absorbency configuration.
Newborns with sensitive skin
Neither component has elastics, so nothing leaves red marks at the legs or waist. The stretchy knitted shell and soft brushed cotton booster are gentle against newborn skin.
How it works
Using the set together
The booster pad goes inside the fitted diaper before tying. Here's the full routine.
1
Wash both components before first use
Organic cotton contains natural oils that need to wash out before full absorbency develops. Wash several times before first use. Absorbency continues to improve over the first few wash cycles.
2
Fold the booster pad into a strip
The booster pad is a square. Fold it into thirds lengthwise to form an absorbent strip that sits along the center of the fitted diaper — the same basic technique used for prefold cloth diapers.
3
Place the strip inside the fitted diaper
Lay the fitted diaper flat with the ties at the top, then place the folded booster strip centered on top of it. The strip does the bulk of the absorbing; the fitted diaper contains it and provides the shape.
4
Adjust the rise for your baby's size
For a newborn or small baby, fold the top edge of the fitted diaper down several inches to shorten the rise. For a bigger baby or toddler, leave the top unfolded or fold less. This fold-at-top technique is how the one-size diaper fits across the full diapering range.
5
Lay baby on the diaper and fold up
Position your baby so their waist aligns with the top of the diaper. Bring the bottom up between the legs. Fold the two side edges inward at each leg to form a cuff — this helps contain leaks.
6
Tie, then cover
Cross the ties behind your baby's back, bring them around to the front, and tie in a simple bow at the waist. Then pull a cover over the top — this diaper is absorbent but not waterproof on its own.
Key features
What makes this set distinctive
01
100% organic cotton throughout
Both the fitted diaper and the booster pad are GOTS-certified organic cotton. No synthetic elastic, no PUL, no hook-and-loop, no polyester thread anywhere in the set. Genuinely synthetic-free.
02
Designed as a system
The fitted diaper is intentionally thin; the booster pad adds the absorbency. Disana designed them to go together, and this set gives you them together in matched quantities.
03
Grows with your baby
The fitted diaper is truly one-size — fits from newborn through potty training by folding the top edge to adjust the rise. One set covers the full diapering years.
04
Made in Germany by Disana
Both components are manufactured in Germany by Disana, a family company producing organic baby textiles since the early 1970s. Quality built to last multiple children with proper care.
Materials
What it's made from
Fitted Diaper
100% organic cotton · Stretchy knit · GOTS certified
Stretchy knitted organic cotton throughout — including the ties and stitching. The knit construction is what gives the diaper its elasticity without needing any synthetic stretch. Organic cotton is grown without pesticides, insecticides, or synthetic fertilizers.
Booster Pad
100% organic brushed cotton · 15.5 × 15.5 inches · GOTS certified
Brushed organic cotton — a soft, slightly raised-surface fabric that's particularly gentle against skin. The square shape is a practical size: folds into a strip for use inside the fitted diaper, or opens flat to work as a burp cloth, spit-up rag, or prefold diaper for a newborn.
GOTS certified, made in Germany
Both components are certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard — the most comprehensive organic textile certification, covering the farm, processing, dyeing, and working conditions at each step. Manufactured in Germany by Disana.
Sizing
One size, newborn through potty training
The fitted diaper is truly one-size and adjusts by folding the top edge down to control the rise. The booster pad is a fixed 15.5 × 15.5 inches and fits inside the fitted diaper at all stages.
| Stage |
How to Fit the Fitted Diaper |
| Newborn (birth–3 months) |
Fold top edge down several inches to shorten rise; fold sides inward for a snug cuff at the legs |
| Baby (3–12 months) |
Fold top edge down 1–2 inches; adjust tie placement slightly lower on the waist |
| Toddler (12+ months) |
Leave top edge unfolded or fold minimally; tie at natural waist |
Expect slight shrinkage after first washes
Organic cotton shrinks slightly after the first few washes — this is normal and built into the design. Both components reach their intended fit after pre-washing.
What to pair it with
Covers to complete the system
The set handles absorbency; a separate cover handles waterproofing. Both options below pair cleanly with this set.
Disana Wool Diaper Cover
The natural-fiber match — wool is water-resistant when lanolized, breathable, and contains no synthetics. Completes a fully natural-fiber setup when paired with this set. See the
Disana Wool Cover.
EcoAble Heavy Duty PUL Cover
If you prefer the convenience of machine washing and fast drying, a PUL cover is simpler. See the
EcoAble Heavy Duty Diaper Cover.
Honest assessment
Is this set right for you?
A straight look at what this set does well and what first-time users should know before buying.
Works well for
- Parents intentionally seeking a diaper system with zero synthetic materials
- Families starting Disana cloth diapering from scratch — easier than buying the components separately
- Newborns and babies with sensitive skin who react to elastic or synthetic fibers
- Overnight or heavier-wetting use where the fitted diaper alone wouldn't hold enough
- Families wanting one set that lasts birth to potty training with a single purchase decision
Worth knowing
- Both components need pre-washing several times before first use to reach full absorbency — organic cotton releases natural oils in early wash cycles
- Not waterproof — requires a cover (sold separately) for leak-proof use
- The tying technique is different from snap or hook-and-loop diapers — there is a brief learning curve before it feels routine
- If you already own Disana fitted diapers and just need more boosters, buy the booster pads separately rather than this bundled set
For first-time cloth diaper parents
- If you want the simplest possible starting point, the EcoAble Cloth Diaper Starter Kit includes a cover and three bamboo inserts as a complete ready-to-use system — easier routine, synthetic materials
- If you're committed to natural fibers but want a diaper with snap fasteners instead of ties, the EcoAble Hemp Night Fitted Diaper uses a hemp-cotton construction with snaps
Care instructions
Washing both components
Wash before first use Machine washable Warm water Tumble dry low to medium No bleach No fabric softeners
Wash both components several times before first use to remove natural cotton oils and reach full absorbency. After that, machine wash in warm water with your regular detergent. Tumble dry on low or medium heat. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners — both degrade cotton fibers over time and reduce absorbency. The fitted diaper and booster pads can be washed together in the same load. When properly cared for, these pieces last long enough to be passed between children.
Questions and answers
What parents ask most
Why buy the set instead of the fitted diaper and booster pads separately?
If you're starting from scratch and want both components, the set gives you matched quantities at bundle pricing. If you already own one component and just need more of the other, buying that component separately is the better choice — there's no point paying for matched quantities you don't need.
Do I need both the booster pad and the fitted diaper?
For lighter daytime wetting with frequent changes, the fitted diaper alone can be enough — Disana designed it that way. For overnight use, heavy daytime wetting, or longer stretches between changes, the booster pad adds the capacity the system needs. Most parents find they use the booster routinely even for daytime once they have it.
Do I still need a cover with this set?
Yes. Neither component is waterproof. The set handles absorbency; a separate cover handles waterproofing. Without a cover, moisture will pass through onto clothing and bedding. The
Disana Wool Cover is the natural-fiber match; a PUL cover is the simpler option.
How do I fold the booster pad into a strip?
Fold the square in thirds lengthwise — take each long edge and fold it toward the center. This creates an absorbent strip that lays along the center of the fitted diaper. It's the same basic technique used for prefold cloth diapers.
Can the booster pad be used for other things?
Yes. Unfolded, the 15.5 × 15.5 inch square works well as a burp cloth, spit-up rag, or as a prefold-style diaper for a newborn. Many parents use the boosters flexibly across all of these purposes during the first year.
How many sets do I need for full-time cloth diapering?
For full-time cloth diapering with a 2–3 day wash rotation, most families aim for 10–15 fitted diapers in the stash. The 10-pack set is a practical base; some families supplement with additional booster pads for extra absorbency options without needing more fitted diapers. The 5-pack is a reasonable starter quantity to see how the system works before committing to a larger stash.
