Absorbency Booster · Made by Disana · 100% Organic Brushed Cotton
The versatile natural-fiber booster that works with any diaper system
A trifolded organic brushed cotton pad from Disana, made in Germany. Slim enough to stack, soft enough to wrap around a synthetic insert, and sized to fit inside baby, toddler, or big kid cloth diapers. One booster, many setups.
Designed to stack or wrap — not just lay flat
These boosters are intentionally thin. Use one for a light absorbency boost, stack two or three for overnight, or wrap one around a regular insert to put natural fiber next to your baby's skin. This versatility is the whole point of the design.
Start here
A booster you can configure three ways
Most absorbency boosters come in one thickness and one shape — take it or leave it. The Disana brushed cotton booster is built differently. It's a 15.5 × 15.5 inch square of soft organic brushed cotton, thin by design, so you can use it in whatever configuration matches your baby's actual absorbency needs. Three modes cover almost every cloth diaper scenario.
01
Trifold and lay inside the diaper
The standard use. Fold into thirds to create an absorbent strip, then lay inside your fitted diaper, cover, or pocket diaper as a booster. Single layer works for light boosting; double up for moderate; triple up for overnight.
02
Wrap around your existing insert
If you use a synthetic insert (bamboo, microfiber, rayon, or hemp with a synthetic blend) but want natural fiber touching your baby's skin, wrap this booster around the insert. Your baby feels only organic cotton while the insert underneath does the heavy absorbing.
03
Stack 2 or 3 for overnight
Because each pad is thin, stacking two or three is how you build the absorbency for overnight or heavy daytime wetting. This is the design — not a workaround. Stacking gives you the natural fiber benefits of cotton with the volume capacity of a thicker booster.
Who it's for
Everyone already cloth diapering
Because this booster works across so many systems, it's useful to almost any family already cloth diapering — whether you're using EcoAble, Disana, another brand, or a mix.
Parents whose baby is leaking overnight
Add one or two boosters inside your existing overnight diaper setup to push capacity past a single insert's limit. Works with EcoAble hemp fitteds, pocket diapers, prefold systems, or any diaper that needs more absorbency.
Parents who want natural fibers against skin
Wrap one around your bamboo, microfiber, or rayon insert for an all-natural top layer without sacrificing the absorbency of your existing insert. Particularly useful for babies with skin sensitivity to synthetic fibers.
Long naps, car rides, travel days
When you can't change as often as usual, add a booster or two to your daytime setup to buy extra time between changes. The trifolded shape tucks neatly into any diaper.
Families using Disana fitted diapers
Disana designed the fitted diaper to be paired with this booster. Together they're the complete natural-fiber absorbent system. If you already have the fitted diapers, this is the matching absorbency layer.
What it works with
Universal compatibility — from baby to big kid
The booster is a simple rectangle of cotton with no snaps, no shape, and no fasteners — which is exactly why it works inside virtually any cloth diaper on the market. Here are the most common setups.
EcoAble Cloth Diaper Starter Kit
Add a booster inside the cover alongside your bamboo inserts for extra daytime capacity or overnight use. Wrap one around a bamboo insert for a natural-fiber top layer. See the
Starter Kit.
EcoAble 3-in-1 Hybrid Cloth Diaper
The 3-in-1 has a snap-in insert that works for daytime; add a booster for nighttime or longer stretches. Tuck it inside the existing insert or under it for a noticeable capacity boost. See the
3-in-1 Hybrid.
Disana Tie Fitted Diaper
The matching system. Disana designed the fitted diaper to be used with this booster — they pair naturally for a fully natural-fiber setup. See the
Disana Tie Fitted or the
Fitted + Booster Bundle.
EcoAble Hemp Night Fitted Diapers
Both the
All-Natural and
Stay-Dry hemp fitted diapers accept additional boosters for extra-heavy overnight wetting. Tuck alongside the existing inserts.
Pocket diapers, prefolds, and flats
Works inside any pocket diaper, tucked into a prefold fold, or layered with flat diapers. Universal compatibility across nearly every cloth diapering method.
Big kids cloth diapers
The booster fits inside EcoAble big kids diapers too — useful for children ages 6+ who need extra absorbency for bedwetting or longer stretches. See the
Big Kids Diaper range.
Key features
What makes this booster distinctive
01
Thin by design — stack as needed
Each pad is intentionally thin so you can layer them to match actual absorbency needs. One pad for light boosting, two for moderate, three for overnight. You control the configuration instead of being locked into one thickness.
02
Soft brushed cotton surface
Brushed cotton has a gently raised surface that's noticeably softer than standard cotton terry. Comfortable against your baby's skin when used as the top layer, and gentle enough for newborn use.
03
100% organic cotton, GOTS certified
No synthetic fibers, no blends. The whole pad is organic cotton — grown without pesticides, processed under GOTS-certified conditions, made in Germany by Disana.
04
Universal fit — no shaping or snaps
Because it's a simple cotton rectangle, the booster works inside any cloth diaper on the market. No snap compatibility to worry about, no brand-specific shape constraints.
Other uses
Not just a booster pad
The 15.5 × 15.5 inch square shape and soft brushed cotton surface make this pad genuinely useful outside the diaper too. Many parents keep extras around the house for these purposes.
Burp cloth
Soft against a baby's face and highly absorbent — a natural alternative to synthetic burp cloths. The square shape drapes over a shoulder easily.
Spit-up rag
Quick-access cleanup cloth for feeding times. Brushed cotton is gentle enough to use near a baby's face.
Prefold-style diaper for newborns
Unfolded flat and used with pins or a cover, the pad can work as a simple prefold-style diaper for a small newborn — a traditional cloth diapering method in its simplest form.
Changing mat liner
A soft, absorbent barrier on a changing table or travel mat. Easy to wash and replace.
Materials
What it's made from
100% Organic Brushed Cotton
15.5 × 15.5 inches · GOTS certified · Made in Germany
Brushed cotton is standard cotton with a gently raised surface created by brushing the fabric during finishing. The result is softer than plain cotton terry and more absorbent than woven cotton — a good middle ground for diaper booster use.
Organic certification (GOTS) means the cotton is grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, and the full supply chain — from the farm to the finished fabric — meets the Global Organic Textile Standard.
No synthetic fibers anywhere. The pad is 100% cotton throughout — no polyester thread, no bamboo rayon blend, no microfiber core. What you see is what touches your baby.
Pack options
Pick the quantity that fits your routine
Each pad measures 15.5 × 15.5 inches before washing. Organic cotton shrinks slightly after the first few wash cycles — this is normal and doesn't affect performance.

Honest assessment
Is this the right booster for you?
A straight look at what this booster does well and what to know before buying.
Works well for
- Adding natural-fiber absorbency to any cloth diaper system — EcoAble, Disana, or any other brand
- Parents who want natural fibers against their baby's skin while keeping synthetic inserts for absorbency — the wrap-around configuration
- Overnight or heavy-wetting use when stacked two or three layers deep
- Families with babies and older kids — the same booster works in baby diapers and in big kids diapers
- Multi-purpose households that also want soft organic cotton cloths for burp, spit-up, and general baby-care use
Worth knowing
- Each pad is thin by design. One pad alone is a light booster — stack two or three for overnight or heavy wetting
- Organic cotton needs washing several times before full absorbency develops — natural oils in the fibers wash out over the first few cycles
- Expect slight shrinkage after first washes — this is normal and built into the sizing
- If you want a higher-capacity booster in a single layer, the EcoAble Hemp Cotton Booster Inserts are 4-layer hemp-cotton — more absorbency per pad, less stacking required, but not fully natural fiber throughout
For parents new to cloth diapering
- If you don't yet have a cloth diaper system at all, start there first. A booster without a diaper to pair with doesn't do anything. The EcoAble Cloth Diaper Starter Kit includes a cover and inserts as a complete starting point
- Adding this booster to your existing setup is one of the simplest ways to extend absorbency without buying a whole new diaper system
Care instructions
Washing your booster pads
Wash before first use Machine washable Warm water Tumble dry low to medium No bleach No fabric softeners
Wash the pads several times before first use to remove natural cotton oils and reach full absorbency. After that, machine wash in warm water with your regular detergent. Tumble dry on low or medium heat. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners — both degrade cotton fibers over time and reduce absorbency. The boosters can be washed with the rest of your cloth diaper laundry. When properly cared for, these pads last long enough to be passed between children.
Questions and answers
What parents ask most
How many boosters should I use at a time?
It depends on your baby's absorbency needs. One pad is a light boost — good for extending daytime changes or adding a bit of capacity to a pocket diaper. Two pads stacked handle moderate wetting and most nap times. Three pads stacked is a common overnight configuration. The thinness is intentional — the product is designed to let you build the exact absorbency you need rather than locking you into one thickness.
What does it mean to "wrap" the booster around another insert?
If you use a synthetic insert like bamboo, microfiber, or a rayon blend, your baby's skin is touching that synthetic material. Wrapping this organic cotton booster around your existing insert puts natural fiber as the top layer against your baby's skin — while the synthetic insert inside still does the bulk of the absorbing. You get the absorbency of your existing insert and the skin comfort of organic cotton.
Will this work with my non-EcoAble diapers?
Yes. Because the booster is a simple cotton rectangle with no snaps, no shape, and no fasteners, it works inside virtually any cloth diaper — pocket diapers, fitted diapers, prefold systems, covers with lay-in inserts, and hybrid diapers from any brand. Fit varies slightly by diaper, but the pad itself is universal.
How does this compare to the EcoAble Hemp Booster Inserts?
They serve different needs. The EcoAble
Hemp Cotton Booster Inserts are 4-layer hemp-cotton — higher capacity per pad, so you don't need to stack as many, but the hemp content means they're not fully cotton. This Disana booster is 100% organic cotton but thinner — stacking two or three matches or exceeds the capacity of a single hemp booster, with fully natural fiber throughout. Pick based on whether you prefer higher capacity per pad (hemp) or natural fiber purity (this one).
Can I use these with big kids cloth diapers?
Yes. The 15.5 × 15.5 inch size fits inside EcoAble big kids cloth diapers as well as baby diapers. For children 6+ who need extra absorbency for bedwetting or longer stretches, these boosters add natural-fiber capacity to any big kids diaper system.
Do I need to wash them before first use?
Yes — wash several times before first use. Organic cotton contains natural oils that need to wash out before full absorbency develops. Absorbency continues to improve over the first few wash cycles as the fibers open up.
